We are now looking for "Operations Manager" reporting directly to Regional Service Center Manager of Epiroc USA LLC.

Mission

Ensure the continued profitable growth of our regional aftermarket operations (parts/ consumables sales, customer service, service and inventory) while safeguarding company assets, be perceived as the most attractive business partner for our internal customers, and realize the proper efficiency improvements in aftermarket operations for all applicable business lines.   The successful candidate in this very challenging role will possess a demonstrated commitment to personal accountability, attention to detail, team development, and an overabundance of “want-to” behaviors.
 

Responsibilities/Duties

Primary Responsibilities

  • This position will be responsible for the operations within the Elko Service Center operations and related sites.
  • Assist the Regional Manager to develop and implement appropriate business strategies and priorities to deliver world class aftermarket service and support operations to our customer base located in Nevada and Utah.
  • Ensure customer loyalty by providing superior after-the-sale support in parts, service, consumables and customer service operations.
  • Develop and implement consistent processes within the organization to ensure delivery of top quality customer service, parts, service and consumable operations to our customers and to ensure continued growth of our customer base.
  • Personally demonstrate clear and visible leadership within the region, throughout the Epiroc organization, as well as with our customers.
  • Personally meet with and cultivate relationships with our key customers.
  • Ensure that the regional aftermarket financial KPI’s and targets set by the Regional Manager are met through the implementation of sound processes and procedures.
  • Supervise directly the Service manager, Parts manager, Customer Service Manager, Reman Manger, RDT/Consumables Manager and Key Account Managers that assists in their personal development and professional advancement.
  • Recruit, develop and maintain competent people, within the guidelines of our Affirmative Action Plan, to support our customers and use strategic vision to create appropriate succession plans.
  • Confirm and maintain a database of equipment in this region, including Epiroc and competitive equipment.
  • Clearly define tasks and duties within your direct report organization, and develop tools for measuring success for the people in your organization.
  • Involve the Business Line Managers/Product Line Managers/Customer Service/Product Company in the development and implementation of local strategies to ensure adequate technical and commercial support.
  • Constantly strive to improve operating efficiencies within the Region.
  • Whenever possible, liaise with the customer center functional area representatives to communicate needs, offer assistance, or drive necessary change.
  • Assist the Regional Manager in preparing the annual budget and Monthly reports.
  • Attend Service Center Manager’s meetings and participate when requested.
  • Insure that proper internal control functions are being adhered to within the region and raise “red flags” to Regional Manager whenever compliances with sound business principles are at risk.
  • Ensure that we are meeting ethical, social and environmental performance criteria as required by our company.

  • Communicate activities and work together to grow our business. Prepare necessary information at the request of the Regional Manager, Business Line Managers, Management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare information as requested whether routine or for special occasions.
  • Always be courteous and professional in all communications.
  • Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc.
  • Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence as and when called upon to do so either by design or circumstance.
  • Constantly enforce the importance of working together internally to achieve customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, and government regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
  • Computer skills must include an advanced ability to communicate through Lotus Notes, read and prepare spreadsheets, prepare Power Point presentations, work with Microsoft word documents, and others.

 Education

Candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.
