Mission Statement
To provide aspects of Customer Service to dealers, users and company store personnel as well as Inventory Control, Purchasing and Logistics support for the business lines in order to satisfy our customers. Ensure that the company business goals of growth, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction are met. 
 
GENERAL PURPOSE
To manage the daily, weekly and monthly customer service functions required to support the customers.  This role also supports the management of CRS parts.  
 
Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support to customers via phone, fax, email, etc.
  2. Communicate with suppliers and Customer Service on backordered or long lead-time items and attempt to obtain improved deliveries.
  3. Act as the Inventory Control and Logistics coordinator between Business Line and Product Managers, sales force, Customer Service Representatives and Logistics and the company stores.  Focus will be placed on CRS and locally sourced products.
  4. Handle the company’s purchasing of CRS products using available ordering tools.
  5. Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge to enable proper support of business line.
  6. Manage the SCC inventory planning system for assigned products.
  7. Develop the communication procedures internally and with the different suppliers to minimize administration. Communicate delivery issues with suppliers.
  8. Use the Open Order Database on a daily basis, by reviewing and updating key delivery information for use by Customer Service Representatives to inform our customers.  Including PO administration/clean up/goods in transit reconciliation.
  9. Investigate local purchasing alternatives and create purchase requests accordingly if the primary supplier cannot meet our customers’ demand.   Follow up to ensure acknowledgement and delivery/terms are met.
  10. Liaison with Vendors to ensure on-time deliveries and competitive pricing.  
  11. Maintain Vendor Information in BPCS, reference resources, catalogs, and recordkeeping include parts set-up and administration.
  12. Communicate with freight vendors; follow up on shipments, and coordinate transport issues with carriers/suppliers and our store locations.
  13. Act as a liaison between the central functions in Denver and the store personnel to support CRS products in our stores.
  14. Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence as and when called upon to do so either by design or by circumstance.
 
Communication Responsibilities:
  1. Communicate Administrative activities and work together to grow our business.
  2. Communicate external and internal changes in supply that may have an affect on our company’s ability to serve our customers or affect our logistics costs.
  3. Prepare necessary information for meetings as required
  4. Prepare necessary information at the request of the Inventory Control, Logistics and Procurement Manager.
  5. Analyze trends and make recommendations for stocking level updates in the Customer Center warehouses as well as in the Distribution Center.
  6. Document processes as needed.   IMS database updates. 
Training & Skill Development:
  1. Participate in company planned training whenever possible.
  2. Seek out training for areas of perceived weakness.
  3. Maintain an open mind when working with co-workers or supervisors to learn new approaches.
  4. Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, BPCS, Supply Chain Concept (SCC), Microsoft Office software, etc.

Education/Experience:
  1. Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college; or three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Three years practical experience in Customer Service, Purchasing, Import/Export, Traffic or Logistics with preference given to experience in the mining and construction industry.
 
Skills and Abilities

  1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 
  2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Math Ability:
  1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  2. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  3. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
  1. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. 
  2. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  3. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases. 
  4. Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in variable situations where only limited standardization exists.

Computer Skills:
  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of email software; word processing software; spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel; Accounting software and Contact Management systems.
