We are now looking for an "ADS Blasthole Technical Trainer" reporting directly to the Training Manager of Epiroc USA LLC.


To facilitate the growth of Epiroc MRS (Mining and Rock Excavation Service) training initiatives through a strong commitment delivering the highest quality Technical Training to Epiroc ADS (Drilling Solutions) Blasthole drill customers. The goal is to be perceived as the best Technical Training resource for all ADS customers in our regions, internal and external.

General Purpose

The individual is responsible for training regarding all ADS Blasthole Products for the US market, and to support the MRS training growth initiatives, with main focus on improvement of customer satisfaction by providing best in class training.  This individual will be working within all Epiroc USA groups, to provide high quality communication, technical training and occasional product support for all related products.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in creating, documenting results, and implementation of Technical and Maintenance training efforts. These are to be geared toward assisting customers to achieve the highest level of Safety, efficiency, and productivity with ADS Blast Hole products.
  • Assist in the creation, documentation, and implementation of Safety, Maintenance and Operator training and to assist ADS Blast Hole customers in achieving heightened levels of productivity, machine availability, and efficiency
  • Take the lead in driving our vision for MRS training services growth and enhance our customer’s productivity and profitability while ensuring a successful, sustainable business relationship. 
  • Provide Safety, service, and maintenance training on all ADS blasthole products as requested, for Service Center and Dealer technicians and other customer employees.   
  • Present classes for both internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate MRS training to maximize equipment longevity for the customer, and deliver productivity as needed.
  • Maintain Epiroc Superior Standards through training and mentoring of all local Epiroc personnel with a focus on technicians.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

  • Keep records and communicate all relevant product training activities and work together with all Epiroc groups to sustain product integrity. 
  • Prepare necessary information as requested whether routine or for special occasions.
  • Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, SAP, BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc
  • Act on behalf of peer group members in their absence or when called upon to do so, either by design or circumstance.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must command fluency in hydraulic systems, pneumatic controls, and possess a working knowledge of and ability to train others in electrical systems.  These electrical systems including DC electrical.  Strong proficiency in RCS CANbus technology is also a requirement. 


  • Competence with industrial/ commercial fluid power, pneumatics, PDI loop technology, DC electrical systems and troubleshooting are absolute requirements.
  • An intermediate level of understanding of computers and associated systems (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word, etc), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
  • Willingness to grow within the business.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus.


  • BS Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, etc.) or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Two years of progressive work experience in a related industry.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain current Safety & Health Administration required training certificates.


Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment can be loud when working with the machinery (noise protection required).
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock.

 Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

 Travel Requirements

Travel is expected, approximately 75% of the time, through mainly the domestic US with some international travel.
