We are now looking for "Assembly Technician" reporting directly to Product Support Manager - Hydraulic Attachment Tools Division of Epiroc USA LLC.

To safely and efficiently provide sustainable, world class distribution of specialty, pre-configured hydraulic attachments, working steel, and electric powered pumps to the construction tool industry in the US and Canada by utilizing top of the line employees, practices, and logistics services.

In the role as Assembly Technician, the individual will work to facilitate the efficient distribution of Epiroc’s equipment through a strong commitment to the safe and accurate pre-configuration of hydraulic attachments and WEDA pumps for Epiroc Construction Equipment customers.
 

Responsibilities/Duties

Primary Responsibilities

The main responsibility for this position will be to stage & pre-configure Epiroc hydraulic attachments as well as other related construction equipment at the Epiroc Pre-Configuration Center. This will be a challenging role which includes but will not be limited to the following:
  • The assembly of mounted hydraulic products including the installation and tightening of common bolts and hydraulic hoses per provided instructions.
  • The safe operation of a tow motor and overhead crane.
  • Performance of basic diagnostic checks on equipment prior to shipment to pre-determine possible issues, and perform minor repairs.
  • Complete and submit, on a timely basis, reports and completed work orders with accurate time allocation.
  • Test and document proper operating parameters.
  • Provide normal maintenance of tools and equipment.
  • Train and assist other technicians as necessary.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times, and maintain a clean and orderly work space.

Communication Responsibilities

  • Communicate all relevant product, technical and training activities and work together to sustain the product integrity.
  • Prepare necessary information as requested whether routine or for special occasions.
  • Always be courteous and professional in all communications.

Required Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma.
  • Five years of experience working within heavy equipment industry.
  • Three years of practical related experience.
  • One year experience in the mining and construction industry.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate
  • Knowledge of email software; word processing software; spreadsheet software and Contact Management systems.
  • Maintain a high level of service and parts knowledge with the capacity to develop a solid understanding of our business culture.
  • Work to understand, teach and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail, BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc.

Other Skills

  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram or schedule form. 
  • Able to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high demand environment.
